Alert: Weight Loss Injections

We have received a large number of queries in relation to the prescribing of Weight Loss Injections.
Please note that this only available for patients with;
-a BMI of 40 or over (37.5 if from an ethnic minority background)
- Four out of five of the following conditions; Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Heart and Vascular Disease, High Cholesterol and Obstructive Sleep apnoea.
The Black Country ICB have not yet commissioned this service for Walsall GPs to prescribe at the moment. If you have any queries please contact the ICB via their website; https://blackcountry.icb.nhs.uk/

The Enhanced Access Service can be contacted on 01922 501999. The service offers extra GP appointments on evenings and weekends.

Weekdays 6:30pm to 9pm

Saturdays 9am to 5pm
